Does a cosmetic product need any test? Yes, of course!
Every cosmetic product placed on the market needs to undergo some tests before its launch.
Not all products need the same tests, it depends on the product category and the market where the product will be sold. To place a compliant product on the market you need to know them!
At Cosmeservice we can run different tests to evaluate the safety and also efficacy of cosmetic products. Some of them are mandatory, as the Stability test, to ensure the stability of the formulation and estimate the shelf life, or the Challenge test, to check the efficacy of the preservative system.
Other tests that can be done are for skin compatibility or the justification of claims. Patch test will allow you to ensure skin tolerance and the In-use test will help you to justify the claims made at the product, using real consumers opinions.
